Harley Street Doctors provides Medical Insurance Service for Insurance Companies to the highest standards by improving their not taken up (NTU) rates, which have a direct impact on their business.

Your personal data

So Harley Street Doctors can deliver an effective service, at times we need to collect and use your personal data. This notice outlines the types of data we use, and how and why we will use it:

Purpose: To provide you, and your insurers, with the information they need to process your policy. Personal data collected will be used for helping you gain your insurance with your insurers.

What we need:

  1. Your personal details like name, address, email address and contact number
  2. Your Insurance company details and Insurance details; and
  3. Your medical test results (as tested and perceived by the doctors)

Where this data will be stored: London, UK

How long will we keep this data: The Company will keep your personal information for 3 months after your initial appointment.

What does the law say about this

We are required by law to have a ground set out in the law to process the information we hold about you.

When you are working with Harley Street Doctors our processing of personal information for all these purposes is based on processing grounds like the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party processing necessary to comply with legal or regulatory obligations and/or processing necessary in the legitimate interests of Harley Street Doctors in exercising its and its staff fundamental rights to run a business in a way which does not unduly affect your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms. When processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of Harley Street Doctors, we ensure that processing is conducted in such a manner that our legitimate interests outweigh any individual’s interest. We shall only process your personal information other than on these grounds with your consent.

In most instances, we will not disclose your personal data to third parties without your consent. We have the following third party agreements in place:

  • L&G, ReAssure, DG Mutual, Prudential International - The companies listed here, are the ones with whom the contract for processing is in place viz., to which Harley Street Doctors are a sub-processor and only on the lines of contract – the personal data would be shared, if required
  • Marotori - It helps host our solution/application on a secure server and undertakes the necessary measures for the protection of the data stored in their servers

Do we transfer your data to third parties?

All information we gain from the Doctors during your medical will be transferred onto the Insurance Company only.

Do we transfer your data outside of the European Union?



By consenting to this privacy notice you are giving us permission to process your personal data specifically for the purposes identified. Consent is required for Harley Street Doctors to process both types of personal data, but it must be explicitly given. Where we are asking you for sensitive personal data we will always tell you why and how the information will be used.

You may withdraw consent at any time by speaking directly to your insurance company.
